Old Fashioned Fudge – Don’t Lose This

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as walnuts or pecans)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This will make it easier to lift the fudge out later.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Butter:
    • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and butter are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk:
    • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and continue to cook over low heat. Keep stirring to combine the ingredients well.
